On this two part course, you will learn how to create a two colour linocut print using the same linocut block. This is called the reduction process and involves cutting from the same block for each layer. Don’t worry - it will all become clear during the course! You will be using professional Cranfield inks onto printmaking paper.

There will be lots of inspiration for designs but feel free to bring any ideas from home.

Session 1 - Explanation of the reduction process and a mini practice. Plan, design, cutting and printing first colour.

Session 2 - Design, cut and print second colour. 

Coffee, tea, cake and biscuits will be provided on the day. Places are limited to 6. Please make sure you can make both dates before booking. 

At the end of the course you will have a set of prints which will be posted to you once they are dry. Your favourite one will be mounted, ready to be framed. 

It would be helpful if you have some prior linocut experience - you might want to take the one session linocut workshop before booking this course.
